Lunch and Snacks

Children may have a school meal or bring a packed lunch from home. Our school meals are home-made and prepared by our in-house Catering Team and sometimes include fruit and vegetables in season grown by our pupils.  Our meals are popular with both pupils and staff alike.

From September 2014 all pupils in F2, Y1 and Y2 are entitled to a school meal free of charge and we encourage parents to take up this offer.  Currently, due to the increase in take-up, we are unable to offer our usual flexibility and ask for a full week's notice for a change between school meals and packed lunches.  We are unable to take orders for odd days apart from in exceptional circumstances.

Our current menu can be seen by clicking on the download tab. We stick to the menu as closely as possible but please be aware that occasionally late deliveries mean that last minute changes are made.

As a health promoting school we ask that parents provide a healthy lunchbox and adhere to our Healthy Lunchbox Policy (which can be downloaded under the Policies Tab).  We ask that lunchboxes contain: a sandwich/wrap/pasta, a piece of fruit, yogurt and a drink - please avoid fizzy drinks, sweets, crisps, nuts and chocolate bars please.

A fruit snack is provided free of charge for all pupils up to the end of KS1. Fruit may be ordered for KS2 pupils through the School Office or they can bring in their own to eat at break time.

Semi-skimmed milk may also be purchased through the School Office.

All pupils are asked to bring a named transparent water bottle with a sports top to school each day. We encourage everyone to drink plenty of water throughout the day.
